Last week was a full one and last weekend on Schilthorn took it’s toll on us (or mainly on me).

This being said we decided to keep it slow this week and go out and somewhere close and easy. Some of our friends invited us over for a chat and also to take the opportunity to see the Prättigauer Alp Spektakel in their village.

To fill up the day we looked for some sunrise and sunset opportunities on the way. Browsing around, we stumbled upon some great autumn pictures taken at the Klöntalersee.

We checked the position of the sun at the sunrise and sunset, it looked good so we decided to head out early morning and catch the sunrise.

We started at 5.3o from Zurich as the road trip from to Schwammholle was planned to take roughly 1hour and a bit and the sunrise was expected at 7.10.
The road was nice and the streets quite empty. The way up to Schwammholle takes you through a narrow and quite dark road. The only persons we met were the soldiers from the nearby military unit that were out for a training exercise. Only when we got out of the car and set up the tripod for the pictures we realized how cold it was outside.

Unfortunately getting a glimpse of the sunset was not possible, as the thick fog clouded the ski, the sun was nowhere to be seen.
